Thoughts on Sci-Fi Short Films

Hello....
What I found fascinating about the 'Machine Us/ing Us' video was that at the time when the world wide web was coming out, people, anybody could post. It also emphasized the fact that as we use the internet more and more, we then give up more data that gets collected. I find that a bit scary seeing that every time we use the web it records data, our IP, our passwords. The video also pointed out that our lives would have to be re-thought. The way the web answered our questions, our problems and the way we love. To relate that to nowadays I find it interesting that when we use AI platforms such as ChatGPT or Bing AI it says memory updated after answering a prompt. Does that mean then, that every letter, word entered is stored and in a sense upgrade AI's knowledge. Once it has enough knowledge in the world what can it do next.
From the Google Zon video I found interesting that no longer was the press needed when people could go online, post or view real time news. Everybody's voice was heard once the world wide web released and made it so others could learn from anybody. For example, YouTube has been vital in this. YouTube allowed someone to learn how to fix their own car instead of going to a mechanic and getting charged an arm and a leg.
The web has lots to offer and I'm glad we have advanced but when is advancement gone too far?
