AI is something that strikes fear into a lot of people regarding the future. When Gates and Elon Musk start commenting on the potential of AI that's when it should wake us up because these people along with other rich/wealthy people know more than we do. The use of AI with consciousness can be a positive thing when it comes to some jobs. My fear is that when AI increases, we decrease. We who are on top start to become less valuable and more of a burden than the AI. Once that happens it could mine as well be the end for humanity. There will be no need for humans if AI can do everything. 1964-1966 ELIZA was created at MIT. Which for that time a machine that could talk to humans was mind blowing! I believe the curiosity that was sparked with ELIZA and other early AI machines could potentially be the downfall. We are so intrigued with the new, especially when it comes to AI. It's that very curiosity that could end our society. What's interesting is AI keeps soaking info year after year. Many movies and short films have been made about AI receiving info and therefore being able to have the power to use it against us if we so wish. I want to bring up the military because whenever anything is increasing, they're the first ones to jump on it. One way it could be the end of humanity is the military using AI systems to take each other down by having it send rockets and disarm defenses. Those are just some thoughts about what could happen.
