STARTUP.com

I was shocked that not a lot of people they talked to use the internet in 2001. Because nowadays a lot of people can't live without it. Also, interesting is that finding a company name was such a big deal, because that's the name people are going to have to invest into and use. Also, it's crazy how lots of other companies were wanting to buy services of GovWorks. Funny how their first interview in Silicon Valley was one where they got critiqued. But ultimately it was for their good, because you don't grow unless you have upsets in the process of your business. I love their excitement that they had on their way to their first interview, but for sure it was one that help them in the long run. It's crazy how hard of a struggle they went through to find investors for their east coast tech company. Nowadays I feel like it would be a lot easier but during that time I can see how hard it would be. I noticed something with the two, was that they were having a hard time settling on what to portray to investors, which I noticed can happen when you start a business in a pair. I think I could only start and run a business with someone I really trust and know. Also I noticed that the use of tech in this documentary was primitive compared to what we have now, back then it was very simple but now it's quite complex. We have way faster laptops, way quicker phones, tablets and a bunch of different high tech that's especially beneficial for business productivity. I love how this documentary shows the behind the scenes of how a tech company comes up. All the way from relationships failing and ones growing closer together. It really gives me a perspective on the reality of business and how crazy it can be. Overall I loved this documentary and how it shows how a tech company was run in the 2000's, very informational and well put together.
