I find it very fascinating that something this advance for its time rapidly took over the world and then just as quickly lots of things started to blow up and businesses closing. I noticed lots of people who were aware of this online boom, jumped onboard but could they have known what would happen? I just love the ambition that these people had, to recognize something come up and to do something about it. They definitely profited off of it for sure but also, in 2000-2003 lots of these ambitious companies were forced to shut down, I like the quote "All pyramid schemes inevitably come to an end, or you can't grow in a vacuum." This speaks volumes of how the internet at the time was like a rollercoaster, all that adrenaline on the way up to then it all is crashing down, after the ride all you have is a rapid heartbeat.
Honestly, I wonder if AI will have something very similar in the future. Like AI has been moving very fast and lots of people have been taking advantage of all AI can do for them. Like I personally have seen lots of people online use AI to help them start their online businesses, I wonder if they'll fall off just as quicky as they made money using AI, seeing the pattern of the internet, or is AI just different?
Then in 2005 the internet started to slowly come back to life with MySpace, Facebook and many more. It just goes to show how people took advantage of unstable tech, lost everything, just for others in the future to learn from their mistakes and do it better.
